Smooth out the lines of time…more about collagen induction therapy and mesotherapy in Thame, Witney and Abingdon

October 10th, 2012

The idea behind collagen induction therapy is similar to that of many other non surgical skin tightening procedures in that it aims to create a controlled injury underneath the skin’s surface, thereby inducing the body to respond by producing more collagen in the treated area. The skin plumps and thickens in response to the stimulus, reducing the appearance of scars, pigmentation and fine lines. So there are several new solutions for brilliant smooth and healthy skin!

There are a few different treatments at Qutis/MBNS that stimulates collagen and both you and our expert nurse practitioners can help you choose what’s right for your skin.

Microdermabrasion is considered old fashioned and has now been superseded by micro needling and radio frequency skin resurfacing using the Syneron e2 technology.

Micro Needling will not replace Botox® or Restylane® or Juvederm® but its a great adjunctive treatment to really complete your age-makeover, and we add vitamins and antioxidants to the skin, and this is called mesotherapy.

Sublative rejuvenation or skin tightening with skin resurfacing uses Radio Frequency Energy and is non invasively directed into the skin. The texture of your skin becomes smooth and elastic and can be used on all skin types.

Our expert nurses say… We have learned that Age defying treatments are much more than Botox®, Juvederm® and Restylane® fillers… if you are ‘in the know’, you will be adding Micro needling (Dermaroller), Radio Frequency Skin Resurfacing as well as a bespoke skin health regime using iS Clinical products….Call now for your FOC pre-Christmas Consultation. IPL Photorejuvenation rescue for broken capillaries and pigmentation

October 4th, 2012

I need some IPL photorejuvenation!

After a Summer of exposing my skin to the elements through cycling, swimming, running, gardening and sunbathing  (when the weather allowed it) I am left with a few new broken capillaries on my cheeks and some new pigmentation on my nose. This is unfortunately the price I have to pay for having fun in the sun!
I am however fortunate enough to work in an industry that allows me to be ‘in the know’ regarding skin health, prevention and cure.  I did wear my IS Clinical Treatment Sunscreen religiously all Summer, as well as protecting my face with a sunhat and glasses, and I am happy to admit although I still have managed a few new broken capillaries and pigmentation – the damage is minimal.

IPL Photorejuvenation treatment with one of our expert nurses is at hand!

Now that my suntan has well and truly disappeared, my cure is simply a quick IPL treatment (Intense Pulsed Light)  with one of our expert nurses. Three treatments spaced four weeks apart will restore my skin to its flawless natural tone in no time! I love the results I get from a quick 30 minute appointment; my pores minimize and my skin’s complexion is left milky and clear. I have treatment on my lunch break and forget about it – it’s only when my friends and family comment on how well I’m looking that I remember it’s from the IPL! By far my favourite treatment and I highly recommend it to all ages and skin types.
