In light of the BBC Radio One news report today discussing issues with Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatments performed by inexperienced beauticians, we would like to issue our own statement on how we use Intense Pulsed Light Therapies at MBNS/Qutis Clinics.
We are a nurse led experienced clinic group that has been offering IPL hair removal (and IPL Skin rejuvenation) for over 15 years on a variety of skin types & colours. Our nurses & laser therapists all have BTec & Core of Knowledge qualifications.
We pride ourselves on our expertise and ensure that all patients are thoroughly consulted before treatment can go ahead. This includes exclusion of patients who have an active suntan or have used sunbeds or fake tan products. Also we take care to note all medication that could cause light sensitivity, so that safe IPL treatment settings are selected.
